Beltone Hearing Aids – Illinois

The inability to hear or understand what is going on around you can be an emotionally challenging situation. At Beltone in Illinois, we understand it can be difficult to admit that you may be experiencing hearing loss, and even more difficult to schedule an initial visit for a hearing assessment. There is no need to worry. Our professional staff will take the time to answer all of your questions and explain, step–by–step, what to expect during your hearing evaluation. We will first get all the information needed to understand your medical background, medications you may be taking, any insurance coverage you may have, etc. We will also ask you questions about your lifestyle in order to better understand your day–to–day hearing needs. A visual assessment of your ears is then completed to determine whether or not you may have wax build-up or some other condition that will need to be corrected by a physician. Once medical concerns have been ruled out, a comprehensive hearing test can be performed. If we find that you have no hearing loss, we will be the first to tell you!

In most typical hearing tests, patients are asked to listen to a series of beeps and sounds to determine one's type and degree of hearing loss, as well as patterns of speech. Once you are fitted with your hearing aids, you will also listen to sounds you will actually hear in the real world such as children playing in a park, or birds singing. This will allow you to “test drive” your hearing aid performance.

At Beltone, we take great pride in carrying only the highest quality hearing instruments that utilize the latest in hearing technology. Once your hearing assessment is complete, your Hearing Care Practitioner will be able to recommend which styles and models of hearing aids are best for your hearing needs and lifestyle, as well as your budget. Being fitted with the right hearing aids is but one step in the process of your continued hearing health. Beltone's BelCare™ program offers patients a lifetime of after care service to ensure that all your hearing care needs are met for as long as you own your Beltone hearing aids. Our annual hearing evaluations will be able to address any changes in your hearing. With more than 1500 Beltone locations nationwide, travelling or relocation is never a problem. Clients are free to visit the Beltone location that is most convenient for them regardless of where their initial hearing aids were purchased. This is one of the ways that the Beltone name has become synonymous with patient satisfaction and the best in hearing aid technology.
