The new online store offers a full array of hearing care accessories including remotes and TV streaming devices, batteries, charging devices and general cleaning and care products to support patients trying to limit social interactions.
Beltone is currently the only major hearing care retailer offering an online , trusted source of original, direct-from-manufacturer solutions to patients across the country, even where there are no nearby Beltone locations. The site was created in response to Beltone’s hearing aid patients wanting alternative ways to get essential supplies and accessories from the safety and convenience of home.
“The COVID-19 Pandemic is clearly shaping new behaviors,” says Beltone President Mike Halloran. “Especially among older consumers who are becoming more comfortable shopping online and who happen to be the majority of the patients we serve. We’ve built this site for them because they are asking for it.”
Beltone.com traffic has doubled during theCOVID-19 pandemic, as more seniors were turning to online shopping due to stay-at-home measures. And more than 7,000 people filled out online forms this spring to receive free hearing aid batteries from the Beltone Foundation.
The Beltone online store will initially sell accessories and supplies. Beltone hearing aids will continue to be fitted and purchased at the store. However, once hearing aids are purchased, Beltone Remote Care Live gives patients the ability to consult with their hearing care professional via video and make hearing aids adjustments in real time, without them having to leave the home. These telehealth appointments can be made from the new online store as well as Beltone.com.
