Very thourough hearing test, and learned a lot.;

We recently moved to the area so this was my first visit to this Beltone. The receptionist was so nice and helpful. The technician, Joe, was a very knowledgeable, professional and kind man. He answered every question that I had and explained everything in such a way that anyone could understand. It was a very pleasant experience!;

Like most other reviews, I found Joe to be very friendly and personable. But that's not why I went to Beltone... I wanted science, and Joe delivered that beyond my expectations. From the very thorough exam to the explanation of my personal hearing loss, he explained the process thoroughly and answered my numerous questions with an air of knowledge and experience I rarely see these days. No salesman BS, just honest answers to important questions. That's exactly what I wanted. He programmed a demo pair of hearing aids to my particular needs and let me try them in the office before I made a decision. That brief experience sold me. My insurance doesn't cover hearing aids, but he still got me a very significant discount, as they partner with Blue365. A few moments more and he got me setup with a financing plan that suits my needs. If, like me, you have been putting off doing something about your hearing loss, please wait no longer. I'm so happy that I chose Beltone in Rogers to get this done, and I don't even have my hearing aids yet! I'm really looking forward to that experience and will post another review afterwards. Thanks Joe!!! ********************************************************** Update - have had my new hearing aids for 2 weeks now. I'll start by saying that having my new Beltone Envisions has been life changing! I went from having to ask my co-workers to repeat themselves 15-20 times a day to twice in 2 weeks, as quickly and simply as flipping a switch. So many sounds that had gradually faded to inaudibility over the last few years are back... birds chirping, turn signals, tennis shoes, zippers, mouse clicks... it's a long list. I was prepared for the "brain shock" that many first-time users complain about, but it's just not happening to me. Yeah, lots of sounds and details are once again hitting my brain after a long absence, but I want and embrace that. Kind of the whole point. I had my first noisy restaurant experience last weekend. At first it was pretty normal, but as more diners arrived and the place got busy, the din of silverware, plates, and conversations became a bit overwhelming. I used the phone app to switch to "Hear in Noise" mode, and all that instantly vanished! Unfortunately, that came at the cost of slightly reduced comprehension of my companion's speech. I asked Joe to tweak that setting a bit, which he did. I'll try it again soon, I'm sure we'll find a happy medium for it together. But the biggest and best impact by far is my new-found ability to rejoin the world. Anyone that's had significant hearing loss for some time knows what I'm talking about. When you can't understand much of what other people say, you're no longer a part of the conversation. For some people, that leads to depression. For me it was just extremely lonely. That's gone now. I'm back Baby! Thanks Joe! Update... 6 months later. Well, I'm still loving my Beltone Envision hearing aids, and Joe is still the best! He gave me a cleaning refresher course today, which was appropriate considering I was preoccupied with my new aids when he explained cleaning the first time. I still highly recommend Beltone in Rogers for any hearing needs you might have.;
